Arbor Star of the Year - Johnnie Radcliff

Dedication to great service is one of Johnnie’s greatest qualities. He   seems to take special pleasure in making magical moments. When he recently overheard a table of residents talking about fried green tomato sandwiches—not a regular menu item-- he gathered the ingredients, prepared the sandwiches and made an entire table feel very special. One resident craved liverwurst, another spumoni and another ice cream sandwiches. Each one felt spoiled and couldn’t believe that Johnnie took the time to make sure they got what they asked for even though it wasn’t on the menu. On another occasion a resident came to lunch after the meal was over and was disappointed that she had missed the daily special. Johnnie turned around, defrosted huge shrimp and made her shrimp scampi. Boy was she glad she was late. These are but a few examples of the things that come naturally to Johnnie.  Johnnie was recently promoted to the Director of Food Service. Johnnie is passionate about his job and this passion shows in everything he touches.
